“Excel Arabic provided a fantastic opportunity for me to compliment my learning of the Arabic language through this immersion programme to Saudi Arabia. The programme offered significant exposure to the language, which was taught completely in Arabic. By the end of the programme I had definitely broken through barriers of confidence and engaged more with the course tutor directly in Arabic.
The studying part of the programme focused on Arabic grammar, speaking, listening as well as tajweed. Outside of studying hours visits to museums, exhibitions and historical sites were arranged, which gave a rich account of Islamic history as well as further opportunities to engage with the local people in Arabic to best of our abilities.
